Short-Term Training Course on Wood Coatings (June 16th 2025 – June 20th 2025)

Wood Working and Finishing Discipline, Forest Products Division of the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, is successfully being conducted a Short-Term Training Course on “Wood Coatings” from 16th June to 20th June 2025. A total of 13 participants from diverse academic and industrial, backgrounds attended the five-day programme. Nine participants are from Marque (Impex) Pvt. Ltd. Moradabad, three participants from Bamboo Development Agency, Mizoram and one participant from Sabari Woods and Plywood, Karur, Tamilnadu

The course aimed to provide in-depth knowledge and hands-on practice in various aspects of wood coating technologies, including surface preparation, application methods, types of coatings, environmental considerations, and recent advancements in the field. The sessions were designed to enhance the technical competency of participants in selecting and applying wood coatings effectively.
