The Forest Tree Seed Laboratory, Silviculture and Forest Management Division, ICFRE-Forest Research Institute, organized a one-day training programme on “Quality Seed Production and Nursery Technology” for the frontline staff of Uttar Pradesh State Forest Department on 23rd October 2026, at Social Forestry Division, Saharanpur, under All India Coordinated Research Project 10 titled “Developing Seed Testing and Seed Storage Protocols of Selected Forestry Species from Diverse Forest Types” funded by the National CAMPA. A total of 27 frontline forest personnel participated in the training. The programme aimed to strengthen their technical knowledge and practical skills in seed quality evaluation, scientific seed handling and storage, nursery management, vegetative propagation, and seed-ball preparation.
