Short-Term Training Course on Wood Coatings (April 20th 2026 – April 24th 2026)

Wood Working and Finishing Discipline, Forest Products Division of the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun,is conducting a Short-Term Training Course on “Wood Coatings” from 20th April to 24th April 2026. A total of 23 participants from diverse academic and industrial backgrounds are attending this five-day programme. The participants are from Plantag Coatings India Ltd. Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Rich wood Industries, Solapur, Mahasrashtra, Sham Paint industry Noida, SBL Speciality Coating Punjab, Ideal Coatings, Jodhpur, Hamz Craft and Heritage Co. Nagina, Fursource Jodhpur, H & M New Delhi, CL Gupta Exports Ltd. Moradabad, Rachna Timber Sitapur, DH Creations and Coatings Agra, Heritage Industry Sitapur, Jaipur and special mention MsDuyguDogan from Plantag Coatings Istanbul, Turkey.

This training programme is designed for industries, academics and other stakeholders dealing with coatings for wood substrate applications. It covers a comprehensive overview of wood coating fundamentals, including types, properties, surface preparation and application & testing methods. The course also addresses environmental aspects, advanced and eco-friendly coating technologies, troubleshooting issues, safety practices, etc.

The training will also include hands on practice on coating applications and testing procedures based on National /International Standards.The sessions are designed to enhance the technical competency of participants in selecting and applying wood coatings effectively.
