All the civil and electrical works above Rs. Two Lakhs has been started through e-Tendering process of CPP portal of Govt. of India since 2015.

Actively engaged in the development of “Biodiversity park” in UCOST, Jhajhara under external aided project.

Construction of “Forester memorial” at FRI.

Renovations of Pathology, Extension and Silviculture museum.

Redesigned and renovation of Herbarium.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES DIVISION

Introduction:

Engineering Cell constituted in June 1998 to carry out various repair & maintenance works in the institute both residential and non-residential buildings including campus upkeep. In the next two years, Engineering Cell has taken over the charge from CPWD and since 2001 the Engineering Cell has been working as an independent division of FRI. Further Service Branch FRI has also become a part of Engineering Cell. Later in 2007 Timber Engineering Discipline of Forest Products Division and in 2012 Printing Press of FRI was also transferred to Engineering Cell. In view of the volume and verity of works carried out by the cell, it was renamed as Engineering & Services Division in 2013.
